Change to Your Office Computer Name or IP
You must update your remote desktop connection if any of the following occurs:
- You get a new computer with a new name,
- Your computer is moved and gets a new name, or
- The IP address of your computer changes (if you use the IP address for Remote access).
Windows Instructions
After launching the Remote Desktop Connection, you can change the computer name or the IP address (e.g., 129.100.XXX.XXX) in the Computer field marked with the red arrow.
Mac Instructions
After launching the Microsoft Remote Desktop program, find your OfficePC connection and click on the pencil icon in the bottom left corner to go into edit mode. Change the computer name or the IP address (e.g., 129.100.XXX.XXX) in the PC Name field marked with the red arrow.
