Student Donation

 

Social Science Network and Data Services (SSNDS) sends a special thank you to all Social Science Students and their Council (SSSC) for their generous donation which made it possible to replace all the student computer CRT monitors with new LCD flat screens. The retired monitors were donated to the local school boards and some were shipped to Africa.

The SSSC has funded several past projects in the SSNDS, enabling us to provide better services to the Social Science student community. Some of these include:

  • remote access services
  • 24/7 access via student card to both the Social Science building and the undergraduate computing rooms (SSC 1000, 1012, 1020 and 1032)
  • 24/7 printing services
  • food permitted and laptop friendly services in SSC 1012 and 1020
  • low-cost laser printing services
  • ongoing upgrade of microcomputer systems in the student computing rooms
