Lunch and Learn

SSNDS launched a Lunch and Learn series in May addressing the computing needs of faculty and staff. These are one hour casual sessions preceded by a pizza lunch. The sessions have proved to be very popular, offering faculty and staff an opportunity to meet with colleagues, learn something new, and ask questions—all without too much of an interruption in their day. So far our sessions have included:

  • Remote Desktop: Work on Your Office PC from Home
  • Set up Your Own Personal Website on Western’s Publish Server
  • Our Unique Environment: SSC Network, Your H: drive, Your S: drive and More
  • Outlook: Managing Your Inbox—Find, Flag and More

Our upcoming sessions include:

  • File Management and Backup (Christmas)
  • Web Basics (early 2007)
