SSC Network Update

New Remote Access Service

Ali Hammoud

A new service which allows remote access to most SSC Network Software is now available. The service is Web based and can be accessed using Internet Explorer version 5.0 or higher. New Remote Access ServiceThis means that you can access the SSC Network and use Network software from any remote location where there is an Internet connection. No additional investment on your part is required (unlike the existing pcAnywhere services where a client had to be purchased). For example, if you can access the Internet from home, the service allows you to run SPSS without having to purchase or install any new software. Data may be stored on your H: drive or any other accessible Network drive.

To connect to this service enter sscnet.uwo.ca/ in the Address bar of Internet Explorer. Detailed information is available once the opening Web page is displayed. This service will supercede the pcAnywhere service which will be terminated April 30, 2002.
