Microsoft Software Now Available for Home Use

Les Flodrowski

SSCL is pleased to announce that the software licensed through the Microsoft Campus Agreement is also available to all Social Science faculty and staff. The original goal of the Agreement was to obtain a cost effective way of licensing Microsoft software on all computers in the faculty, including student labs. Under the terms of the Agreement, however, faculty and staff may also borrow any licensed product and install it on one home machine for university related activities.

Software included in the Campus Agreement is loaned on a first-come first-serve basis during regular hours of operation from the Data Resources Library (SSC 1004). Borrowers are required to present their staff or faculty card and sign a form when signing out the software. The license agreement prohibits the copying of the source distribution disks.

To obtain more information about the Microsoft Campus Agreement and to view a list of licensed software, please see the announcement located on the web at www.ssc.uwo.ca/sscl/notices/campus_agreement.html.
