SSC Network Update

Scan Exam

Douglas Link

Scan Exam is a Windows 95/Windows NT application for marking, analyzing, reporting and editing multiple choice exams that have been read through an optical sheet scanner. In particular, Scan Exam is a Windows alternative to Western's VAX-based MARKEX software and was designed to work with the UWO 180 question 2-sided Scantron Form No. F-2112-WU.

A Beta version of the software may be run directly from Windows 95 on the SSC Network via the path Start Þ SSC Network Þ Accessories Þ Scan Exam. A personal copy may be downloaded from SSCL’s Software Distribution Web Page which is located at the URL http://ftp.ssc.uwo.ca/ssnds/softwaredownloads.asp. The HELP file within Scan Exam serves as the user manual and may be printed if desired.

Please note that Scan Exam is a Beta test release and as such should be used with some caution to assure that mark examination processing is not compromised.  Comments, suggestions and problems relating to Scan Exam should be reported to Doug Link via E-mail (doug@ssc.uwo.ca).
