Moving to Windows 7
|
|
Windows XP will be reaching the end of its lifecycle on April 8, 2014. Consequently, SSNDS is undertaking a project this summer to upgrade as many of our clients as possible to Windows 7.
Some computers are capable of running Windows 7 already
while others may require a minor upgrade. Finally, some computers will need to be replaced and the faculty is looking for some funds for computer replacement.
For further details on this project and how it will affect you, please see our Network Notice entitled
SSC Network Transition to Windows 7.

SSNDS is pleased to announce that we have two student IT
assistants who will be working with us this summer to help
us with the transition to Windows 7. One of these students
may be coming to your office to upgrade your computer.

no longer keyed access.
Additionally, any internal doors previously on the ECS
system have been converted to the Chubb Card Access system.
All Social Science Faculty, Staff, Graduate Students and
Undergraduate Students have access to the perimeter doors.
Internal doors are managed by the department to which the
room belongs.
