PaperCut Printing Overview

The PaperCut system is used across campus to pay for printing and copying. In addition to the printers in Social Science, students can print and copy at all Western Libraries, libraries in the affiliated colleges, and there is printing available in the Genlabs.

  • You can access PaperCut online at papercut.uwo.ca.
  • All printing and copying is paid for through your PaperCut account.
    • You can add funds to your PaperCut account using a credit card or pre-paid PaperCut card.
    • The minimum amount you can add by credit card is $5.
    • Pre-paid cards are available for purchase at the Service Desk of most library locations in values of $1 to $20.
    • Per page printing charges vary. See below for SSTS printing charges.
  • When printing on any SSTS lab computers, the default printer will be the adjacent printer and black and white will be the default.
  • Log onto the Release Station or device to release your printing and the funds will be automatically debited from your account.
  • Printing will remain in the queue for up to 2 hours.
  • SSTS printers support Web Print in PaperCut to print from your laptop.
  • On devices that support scanning and copying, scanning to email or USB device is free.
